Who would you rather have anchoring your offensive line for your college team - Anthony Munoz or Orlando Pace?

Anthony Munoz played offensive tackle for the USC Trojans from 1976 to 1979. He was born on August 19, 1958 and played high school football at Chaffey High School in Ontario, California.

He was a two time All-American and primarily blocked for Charles White who won a Heisman trophy and gained 6,245 yards rushing behind Anthony. Anthony’s teams went 41-6-1 and won two national championships. (It should be noted Anthony only played in one full game his senior season at USC due to a knee injury.)

Orlando Pace played offensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 1993 to 1996. He was born on November 4, 1975 in Sandusky, Ohio. In high school he played for the Sandusky Blue Streaks at Sandusky High School.

He was a consensus two time All-American and blocked for Eddie George who gained 3,592 yards running behind Orlando; in 1995 Eddie George won the Heisman trophy. In 1996, Orlando Pace finished fourth in the Heisman voting. Over his college career his teams went 41-8-1 and won the Outland Trophy in 1996, as well as the Lombardi Trophy in 1995 and 1996. He was selected to the NCAA Football All-Century Team. The term “pancake block” - referring to when an offensive lineman knocks a defender on his back – originated from the dominance with which Orlando played. In his junior and senior seasons he did not give up a sack.

So there you have it. Two legendary stars with a brief synopsis of their college careers. Which player do you take, based on his college career, to anchor your college team’s offensive line? (For the sake of this question, you can’t have both players.) Please comment by clicking the button below.
