SBNation and ESPN have Alabama winning signing day. This is the seventh year in a row. Does anyone really wonder why Saban’s team have won four National Championships at Alabama? The name of the game in college is recruiting. It is the most the important thing and the second most important thing.

ESPN’s top five for signing day are: Alabama; Ohio State; Georgia; Florida State; and USC, with Michigan in sixth. SBNation has Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, USC, and Michigan in the top five with Florida State sixth.

What are the implications for next year and beyond? First off Alabama and Ohio State will continue to dominant College Football, and Jimbo Fisher will continue to have success in the ACC. It also means that Kirby Smart (Georgia), Jim Harbaugh (Michigan), and Clay Helton are turning their programs around. The name of the game in college is recruiting. It is the most the important thing and the second most important thing and these new coaches (relatively speaking) are poised to bring these traditional powers (Georiga, USC, and Michigan) back into the spotlight.
