Jimmy Garoppolo played for the Easter Illinois Panthers. The Panthers are a Division 1 FCS School.

Jimmy started all four years for the Panthers. Over Jimmy’s college career he threw for 13,156 yards, 118 TDs, and 51 interceptions. While at Eastern he broke Tony Romo’s record for most pass completions. In his senior season, Garoppolo won the Walter Payton Award, given to the most outstanding offensive player in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision.

Jimmy was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2014 NFL Draft. He was drafted in the second round as 62nd overall pick. Jimmy is Tommy Brady’s backup, but saw action and did well last year during Brady’s suspension. Presently, he is leading the rumor mill on whether New England will trade him. Time will tell.
