Tom Brady threw for 30 TDs in college and ran for 3 TDs, which gives him a total of 33 touchdowns accounted for in college. He threw for 4,773 yards, 30 TDs, and 17 interceptions while in college. He also ran for -150 yards and 3 TDs. He was at Michigan for four years, but only started two.
Tom Brady did not have a stellar career at Michigan, for instance Louisville QB Lamar Jackson had 51 TDS accounted for this season alone! Brady was not highly thought of coming out of college and was drafted in the sixth round as the 199th pick by the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL Draft.
While New England gets credit for drafting Brady, they also passed on him in earlier rounds. New England’s coaching staff and Tom’s rededication to football led him to become one of the NFL’s All Time Greatest Quarterbacks, but no one saw that coming. Sometimes as a team you just get lucky.
Tom is a four-time Super Bowl Champ, a twelve-time Pro Bowler, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, and a two-time NFL MVP. He will lead his team this coming Sunday, January 22, 2016 against Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers. It should be a good one!
