Factoid 435 – Who holds the record for the highest vertical jump at the NFL Combine?
Date: 3/24/15
Gerald Sensabaugh, safety for North Carolina, holds the record for the highest vertical jump at the NFL Combine. He set the record with a 46” vertical jump. That is almost four feet straight in the air! He set the record at the 2005 NFL Combine.

Sensabaugh played for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2004. In his first three years in college he played for East Tennessee State University but transferred when East Tennessee canceled their football program. His vertical leap very much helped his NFL prospects. Gerald was drafted in the 2005 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fifth round, and he was the 157th overall pick. He had an eight year NFL career. (We are not considering Regional Combines in these records.)
