Oklahoma played their first game on November 7, 1895. They lost this game against Oklahoma City 0-34. The Sooners’ first victory came the next year on October 28, 1896. It was a 12-0 victory over Norman HS played in Norman, Oklahoma.

The Sooners went 2-0 in 1897 and would continue to be undefeated until they played Arkansas City on November 9, 1899, a game they lost 11-17. This undefeated streak is not that impressive, as they only played two games a season until 1899.
