The Ohio Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are tied with seven winners a piece. USC is in second with six and Oklahoma is third with five. Interestingly, college football’s powerhouse, the Alabama Crimson Tide, have only one Heisman trophy winner, and that was in 2009 (Mark Ingram, Jr./Running Back.) Mariota’s Heisman this year was Oregon’s first.
