On November 5, 1887 Penn State beat Bucknell 54-0 in Lewisburg, PA. It was also Penn State’s first season and first game.
They finished with a 2-0 record, even though they had no coach. They outscored their two opponents 78-0. Penn State would not have a coach until the 1892 season.
