Connor Halliday holds the record for the most passing yards in a game. Halliday plays for the Washington State Cougars and began his college career there in 2011. He holds the records with 734 passing yards in a game vs. California on October 4, 2014. The Cougars lost the game by a score of 59 – 60.

Halliday is the 2013 New Mexico Bowl MVP. He still needs around 2,000 passing yards to set the single season passing yards record set by B.J. Symons. Symon’s record is 5,833 passing yards for a season.
