The sixth greatest freshman season in College Football history.

Date: 5/23/15
Ron Dayne was a 250 lb running back for the Wisconsin Badgers in 1996. His freshmen year he ran for 2,109 rushing yards for an average of 6.5 yards per carry. He also had 21 TDs that season. His rushing yards would be his best season ever.

His freshmen year the Badgers went an unspectacular 8-5. Dayne would play three more years. He would set the all-time rushing record with a total of 7,125 yards, win the Heisman in 1999, and two Rose Bowl MVPs. However, his freshman year was still his best while at Wisconsin.

Happy Memorial Day!
