Wallace Wade’s 1924 team was the first Alabama team to win a conference championship. Coach Wade’s team went 8-1 that year and won the Conference Championship by beating the Georgia Bulldogs 33-0.
Over Wade’s seven years at Alabama his teams would win four Southern Conference Championships.
