The fifth greatest freshman season in College Football history.

Date: 5/25/15
In 2004 Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma Sooners, ran for 1,925 yards for a 5.7 yards per carry average and 15 TDs.

Adrian led his team to a BCS National Championship appearance, although in the Championship game the Sooners got thumped 55-19 by the USC Trojans. Adrian was a true freshman in 2004. He would not put up numbers like this again in college. He would leave Oklahoma his junior year to enter the 2007 draft. He would amass 4,041 yards in college, almost half of which came in his freshman year.

AP, as he is called, would however go on to be one of the greatest running backs of all time in the NFL. He was suspended in the 2014 NFL season due to child abuse charges but will more than likely play again this year, although we suspect he only has a few more years left. His legacy of course will be tarnished by the charges.
