Tim Clifford holds the record for the highest passing efficiency rating in a game (minimum 12 attempts). Clifford played for the Indiana Hoosiers from 1977 to 1980. He set the record in a game vs. Colorado in 1980. He set the record with a 403.4 passing efficiency rating.
Indiana won the game by a score of 49-7. In that game Clifford had 14 pass attempts, 11 completions, zero interceptions, and five TD passes. WOW! What a day!
