Melvin Gordon holds the record for the most rushing yards in a game. Gordon plays for the Wisconsin Badgers and began his college career there in 2011. He holds the record with 408 yards on 25 rushes in a game vs. Nebraska on November 15, 2014. Wisconsin won the game by a score of 59 to 24.
Gordon is a junior as a result of being given a medical redshirt in 2011; he has one more year of eligibility. He was an Academic All-Big Ten in 2012 and a Second-Team All-Big Ten consensus in 2013. We are guessing this year he will First-Team all Big-Ten and probably be an All-American as well. He presently is in third on ESPN’s Heisman watch list.
