The Bahamas Bowl has been played two times. In 2014 Western Kentucky beat Central Michigan 49-48, WOW what a high scoring shoot out! In 2015 Western Michigan beat Middle Tennessee 45-31, so both Western Kentucky and Western Michigan have the most Bahamas Bowl victories. One team will join their ranks as this year’s bowl as neither team in it. This year’s Bahamas Bowl is on December 23, 2016 at Noon EST and will be on ESPN; the Eastern Michigan Eagles play the Old Dominion Monarchs.

In the 2015 Bowl Jamauri Bogan scored four TDs and ran for 215 yards in a 45-31 win over the Central Michigan Chippewas; highlighted by a 62 TD run on Western’s first possession of the game. This earned him MVP honors for this bowl game.

Jamauri is part of WMU’s undefeated 13-0 run this season with a showdown vs. the Wisconsin Badgers in the Cotton Bowl on January 2, 2017 to go for an undefeated season.
