Factoid 403 - Who has the 10th worst all time Wonderlic score for an NFL Prospect?

Date: 2/20/15
Michael Bishop, QB for Kansas State, scored a 10 on the Wonderlic, which earned him the honor of the 10th worst score on this test in NFL history. Bishop was a two sport athlete and was also very gifted in baseball. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 1995 MLB draft, but he ended playing QB for Kansas State from 1997 to 1998. He had a stellar college career and finished 2nd in the Heisman voting in 1998.

“The Wonderlic is a 50-question test administered to all combine participants that measures cognitive ability. The time limit is 12 minutes. A score of 20 is indicative of ‘average’ intelligence and roughly equivalent to an IQ of 100. Apr 12, 2014.” - ESPN

His Wonderlic score being so low was a concern, especially for the position of quarterback. He was picked in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He had a two year career in the NFL with limited playing time. He did go on to play in the CFL from 2002 to 2011. It seems in this case the low Wonderlic score can be correlated with limited success in the NFL.
