Todd Sauerbrun holds the record for the highest punting average for an FBS player. He played for West Virginia from 1991 to 1994. He holds the record with 46.3 yards per punt. He was named All Big East three times in his college career and was an All American in 1994.



He went on to have a 12 year career in the NFL, winning All Pro multiple times. Quinn Sharp from Oklahoma State has a 45.9 average.
