Who would you rather have as your shut down corner in college: Darrel Green or Charles Woodson?

Darrel Green was born February 15, 1960 in Houston, Texas. He attended Jesse H. Jones High School and while there he was an All-State selection in track and an All-City pick in football. He played cornerback for Texas A&I University (now Texas A&M University-Kingsville).

In 1982 he was named a first team All-American and was the Most Valuable Player in the Lone Star Conference. During his senior year Green had 56 tackles, four interceptions, and two punt returns for touchdowns. He was selected to the Lone Star Conference Team of the Decade for the 1980s. He is one of seven cornerbacks in the College Football Hall of Fame. It should be noted Texas A&M University-Kingsville is a Division II school.

Woodson was born October 7, 1976 in Fremont, Ohio; as a senior at Ross High School Woodson was named Ohio's "Mr. Football." He was recruited by Lloyd Carr and played for the University of Michigan.

Woodson played for the Wolverines for three years from 1995 to 1997. They won a national title in 1997 (Michigan’s first since 1948) in small part due to his shut down corner abilities. In 1996 and 1997 he was an AP First Team All-American. In 1997 he won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Jim Thorpe Award, and the Heisman Trophy. He was the first and is still the only primarily defensive player to win the prestigious award.
