What are the odds of your team to win a national championship based on the size of their stadium?

26.7% of all national championships have been won by teams with stadium capacities larger than 100,000; 41.1% of all national championships have been won by teams with stadium capacities larger than 79,999 and smaller than 100,000; 20% of all national championships have been won by teams with stadium capacities larger than 59,999 and smaller than 80,000; and 12.2% of all national championships have been won by teams with stadium capacities smaller than 60,000.

So based on what stadium capacity and only on that factor: there is a 4.4% chance of your team winning the national championship if its stadium capacity is larger than 100,000; there is a 2.74% chance of your team winning the national championship if its stadium capacity is larger than 79,999 and smaller than 100,000; there is a .77% chance of your team winning the national championship if its stadium capacity is larger than 59,999 and smaller than 80,000; and there is a .15% chance of your team winning the national championship if its stadium capacity is smaller than 60,000.

So what does all this mean? Bigger stadiums are a factor in recruiting players and coaches. They are also a sign of the budget the football team has: the bigger the stadium, the bigger the budget.
