The Florida State Seminoles and the Oklahoma Sooners are tied with four appearances each. Florida State has won two of their appearances, while Oklahoma has only won one. Ironically, Florida State lost to Oklahoma 13-2 in the 2001 Orange Bowl. If Florida State makes it to the BCS National Championship game, they will hold the record for most appearances with five. We are predicting they will not make it there; we think Oregon will beat them in their playoff game.

Legendary coach Bobby Bowden led the first three Florida State teams to the National Championship game, while Jimbo Fisher won it for Florida State last year. It should be noted Bobby Bowden also holds the record for the most wins by an FBS coach with 357 wins. Bear Bryant is second in victories with 323. Joe Paterno would hold the record if not for the scandal that lead to years of victories being annulled due to the violation of NCAA ethics standards and rules.
