Troy Edwards holds the record for the most receiving yards in a game. Edwards played for Louisiana Tech from 1996 to 1998. He broke the record in a game vs. Nebraska on August 29, 1998. His team lost the game 27-56. He holds the record with 408 receiving yards.




In 1998 Edwards won Consensus All-American honors, the Fred Biletnikoff Award, and the Paul Warfield Trophy. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1999–2001), St. Louis Rams (2002), Jacksonville Jaguars (2003–2004), and Detroit Lions (2005) in the NFL. He also played for Grand Rapids Rampage in 2007.
