The Michigan Wolverines hold the record with the most victories at the end of the 2013 season: 908! Not without coincidence, they were also the first Midwestern school to start a college program and the 10^th overall to do so. Only four of the first ten teams to start a college football program are still playing at the FBS level: Michigan Wolverines (10^th); Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1^st); Navy Midshipmen (8^th); and UMass Minuteman (9^th).
