Black Bortles of UCF was selected third by the Jaguars in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft, while Manziel of Texas A& M was selected 22nd by the Browns.

Manziel was born in Tyler, Texas and played for Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas and for Texas A&M in college. In 2012 he won the Heisman Trophy, the Davey O'Brien Award, the Manning Award, the Chic Harley Award, and was name AP Player of the Year. Over his two year career he passed for 7820 yards and 63 touchdowns, ran for 2169 yards, and scored 30 touchdowns. His team finished fifth in 2012 and 18th in 2013.

Bortles attended Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida and played for UCF in college. In 2013 season he was named American Athletic Offensive Player of the Year, was selected First-Team All-American Athletic, and was the Fiesta Bowl Offensive MVP. He was a redshirted freshman in 2010, saw some action in 2011, and started in 2012 and 2013. Over his career he threw for 7598 yards and 56 touchdowns, as well as ran for 561 yards and scored 15 touchdowns.
