Connor Halliday holds the record for the most yards (passing and rushing) in a game. Halliday plays for the Washington State Cougars and began his college career there in 2011. He holds the records with 751 total yards, 734 passing, and 17 rushing. He set the record vs. California on Oct. 4, 2014; a game which the Cougars lost by a score of 59 – 60.

Halliday is the 2013 New Mexico Bowl MVP. He also holds the record for the most passing yards in a game with 734 vs. California on October 4, 2014, and he holds the records with 89 pass attempts in a game vs. Oregon on October 19, 2013. .
