Lawrence Flugence holds the record for the most tackles in a season. He played for Texas Tech from 1998 to 2002. He holds the record with 193 tackles. He set the record in 2002.



Flugence was named Second Team All-Big 12 three times from 2000 to 2002. He was named Third Team All-American in 2001. He signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2003 but was released by them. He never saw a down in the NFL but did play in the NFL Europe for the Berlin Thunder in 2004.
