Utah Ute’s Tevin Carter – Cornerback – MVP of 2015 Las Vegas Bowl
Tevin Carter has not been able to make it on an NFL squad, although he has tried out as an unsigned free agent.

The Las Vegas Bowl has been played 24 times. The Utah Utes have been in it five times and won four of those: 1999, 2001, 2014, and 2015, they lost in 2010.
In the 2015 game vs. the BYU Cougars, Tevin Carter won the MVP of this Bowl Game as a cornerback. The Utes won the game 35-28. They won primarily because of five first quarter turnovers by BYU, that the Utes were able to turn into touchdowns, while the rest of the game the Utes fought to protect their lead. Tevin Carter led this defensive charge with two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown, as a result of this Tevin won the MVP of the Las Vegas Bowl.
Conversely the BYU Cougars hold the record for most appearances in the New Mexico Bowl. The Cougars have been there six times and won three of those.
