In 1991 Marshall Faulk, RB, San Diego State Aztecs, ran for 1,429 yards for a 7.1 yards per carry average and 21 rushing TDs.

Faulk’s team went 8-4-1 his freshman year. He also had two receiving TDs giving him a total of 23 TDs. He finished 9th in the Heisman voting.

However, the most memorable moment of that season for Faulk was a game against the University of Pacific. In that game Faulk had 37 carries for 386 yards and seven TDs. It was only his second college game.
