TCU Horned Frog’s Andy Dalton – Quarterback – MVP of 2008 Poinsettia Bowl

The Poinsettia Bowl has been played since 2005. The TCU Horned Frogs have played in this Bowl three time and have won it each time, so they have the most victories in this bowl game. Conversvely, Navy has the most appearances with four and a record of 2-2 in the Poinsettia Bowl. This year’s Poinsettia Bowl is on December 21, 2016 at 8:00 PM EST and will be on ESPN; the BYU Cougars play the Wyoming Cowboys.
In the 2008 Bowl Andy Dalton threw for 197 yards, zero TDs, and zero intercpetions and he also ran for 74 yards and zero TDs. This earned him Offensive MVP honors in low scoring game that TCU won 17-16 over the Boise State Broncos.
Any Dalton had a five-year career at TCU where he threw for 10,314 and 71 TDs, while rushing for 1,611 yards and 22 TDs. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals and has been their starter since his rookie year.
