Julian Edelman played for two different colleges after high school. Right out of high school Edelman attented College of San Mateo in California, but after his freshmen year he transferred to Kent State University. Julian played quarterback in college and was a very good passer and rusher. His senior year he threw for 1,820 yards and ran for 1,370 yards, which at the time broke Kent State’s record for total offense.

Afer Julian’s senior year he was not invited to the 2009 NFL Combine, however at his Pro Day he ran the short shuttle in 3.91 seconds; the fastest time at the Combine that year was 3.96 seconds. This made some teams consider him and he ended being drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round as the 232nd pick that year.

Julian has been in the NFL for eight seasons. The Patriots almost immediately moved him to wide receiver and he is now one of Tom Brady’s favorite receivers. Julian is the New England Patriots' leading receiver this year with 98 receptions for a total of 1,106 yards and three touchdowns. Julian and the Patriots take on the Falcons in Super LI on February 5, 2017. Let’s hope for a good, close, and hard fought game.
