Harry Stuhldreher was the first Wisconsin coach to be elected to the College Football Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1958.
Harry Stuhldreher was one of Knute Rockne’s Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse. He was voted in primarily as a player and a leader of Notre Dame’s offense during the era of the Four Horsemen. His coaching records at Wisconsin was 45–62–6, and his teams never finished higher than second in the Big Ten.
Coach Stuhldreher coached Wisconsin from 1936 to 1948. His overall record was better at 110–87–15 due to his success at Villanova prior to coaching for Wisconsin.
