Wide receiver Josh Gordon played for the Baylor Bears from 2009 to 2010. Gordon had problems with marijuana in college which led him to be suspended indefinitely from the team by coach Art Briles. Gordon then transferred to Utah, where he had to sit out the season.
During Gordon’s brief and troubled career in college he caught 43 passes for a total of 721 yards, which is a 16.8 yards per catch average. He also caught seven TDs. He also saw duty returning kicks. Almost all of his production came his sophomore year and not his freshmen year.
Gordon entered the 2012 supplemental draft and was drafted by Cleveland in the second round. Gordon had a brilliant 2nd year for the Browns amassing 87 catches for 1,646 yards, which is a 18.9 yards per reception average and he scored nine touchdowns.
However, his star shone only briefly as Mary Jane burned brighter. Josh is suspended indefinitely from the NFL for continually violating the NFL substance abuse policy.
