Defensive end Mario Williams from North Carolina State was the first pick of the 2006 NFL Draft. Mario was drafted by the Houston Texans.
Mario Williams played defensive end for North Carolina State. In the 2005 college football season he recorded 62 tackles, 30 solo tackles, 24.0 tackles for a loss, and 14.5 sacks.
Mario was drafted by the Houston Texans and has played for the Texans and the Bills. He presently plays for the Dolphins. Mario has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times. Over his NFL career he has recorded 386 tackles and 96 sacks.
Mario was picked over Reggie Bush. A move at the time that some questioned, but over time Mario has proven to be the more dominant player.
