Comments:UCLA’s national championship was in 1954. However, The Bruins were not eligible to play in the Rose Bowl vs. Ohio State because of the "no repeat" rule in effect at the time. Instead Ohio State played USC and won. Both USC and Ohio State were undefeated, which resulted in some polls picking Ohio State and some picking UCLA as national champs.
