The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Oregon Ducks have played each other eight times. Ohio State has won all eight, definitely a source of motivation for Oregon this Monday night.

The first time the teams played was in the 1958 Rose Bowl, which Ohio State won 10-7; the last time the teams played was also in the Rose Bowl. They played in the 2010 Rose Bowl, and Ohio State won 26-17 lead by Terrelle Pryor; Jim Tressel was Ohio State's coach, and Chip Kelly was Oregon's coach. Neither are there anymore. Monday's game will have Oregon's innovative high octane coach Mark Helfrich vs. Ohio State's - already won two national championships - Urban Meyer.

In between the Rose Bowls the teams played six other times, all of which Ohio State won: 1961 (22-12); 1962 (26-7); 1967 (30-0); 1968 (21-6); 1983 (31-6); and 1987 (24-14). We will see Monday night if Oregon can get their monkey off their back and finally beat Ohio State.
