On August 7, 2012 the NCAA board gave the five richest conferences more leeway in setting their own rules (follow this link). The five richest conferences are: the ACC; Big Ten; Big 12; Pac-12; and SEC. They were give permission to come up with ways to fund the true cost of college for student athletes. This gives the power conferences quite an advantage over the other 64 schools. This creates and already bigger gap between the haves and the have nots. So is college football about to broken down even more, separating into two FBS divisions? We sure think it is heading that way. What do you think? Please comment via the button below.
