Adrian Peterson attended the University of Oklahoma from 2004 to 2006. He was coached by Bob Stoops.
Adrian’s freshmen season he rushed for 1,925 yards and 15 TDs. His freshmen year they went to the BCS National Championship, but lost 55-19 vs. the USC Trojans. The Trojans defensive plan was to stop AP, which they more or less did. AP was hampered by injuries his sophomore and junior seasons. Over his college career he rushed for 4,239 yards and 42 touchdowns. AP forewent his senior season to enter the 2007 NFL Draft.
AP was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings as the seventh overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft. He has gone on to be one of the most versatile and hardy NFL running backs in history; it would have been hard to predict this has he was injury prone in college and was not used as a receiver. He has been in the league ten years and has rushed for 11,747 yards and 97 TDs, as well as he has caught 241 passes for 1,945 yards and five TDs. He most certainly will enter the NFL Hall of Fame when his career ends.
