The Armed Forces Bowl has been played since 2003. The Houston Cougars are 2-2 in this bowl, while the California Golden Bears are 2-0, Navy is 1-0 but plays in this Bowl this year. So Houston and California are tied for the most victories in the Armed Forces Bowl with the possibility that Navy will join them if they win this year. The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs take on the Navy Midshipmen this year on December 23, 2016 at 3:40 PM and can be seen on ESPN. Interestingly Air Force has played in this bowl five times, but only won once.
In the 2015 Armed Forcs Bowl Jared Goff threw for 467 yards and six TDs with no interceptions. This led his team to 55-36 victory over the Air Force Falcons last year in the Armed Forces Bowl. This earned him MVP honors for this bowl game.
Jared was the first pick in the 2016 NFL draft. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams is starting for them, but in five games he has yet to win a game, although the Rams just aren’t very good.
