Garett Bolles (Utah) was the first Offensive Tackle taken in the NFL Draft. He was the 20th pick and was picked by the Denver Broncos. His contract, projected by Forbes, will be around $11,045,400. The contract is for four years.
At the NFL Combine Garrett Boles ran the forty-yard dash in 4.95 seconds, which was faster than Ryan Ramczyk (offensive tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers) who ran the forty-yard dash in 5.29 seconds. Perhaps this is why Boles was picked ahead of Ramczyk? (Draft boards had Ramczyk going first.)
The Denver Broncos were 24th in sacks given up per game last season. Boles will be expected to contribute immediately. If Boles addition improves the Bronco’s offensive line, then the Broncos are a much better team than last year.
