Boston College’s Harold Landry led the NCAA in sacks last year. He had 17 sacks, 50 tackles, and one interception. His sacks totaled -143 yards.

DeMarcus Walker, a DE from Florida State was second with 16 sacks. Defensive ends Hunter Dimick (Utah) and Jaylon Ferguson (Louisiana Tech) were tied for third with 15 sacks. Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence from Clemson (in the teaser picture) had 6.5 sacks and had 62 tackle last year. Defensive tackles typically do not lead in the sack category, because it is more clogged up the middle and hence harder to generate sacks.

Harold is a junior. He weighs 250 pounds and stands at six feet and three inches. He moved into the starting lineup his sophomore year. He is returning for his senior year and is considered to be a late first round draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Let’s hope he stays healthy and has a great senior season.
