The Southeastern Conference (SEC) had the most players in the Super Bowl with 23. The Pacific-12 was in second with 22, while the Big Ten came in third with 19. The ACC was only one player from tying for third; they had 18 players in the Super Bowl.

Here is breakdown of all the Conferences and the number of players they had in the Super Bowl:
SEC: 23
Pac-12: 22
Big Ten: 19
ACC: 18
Non FBS Schools: 13
American Athletic: 9
Big 12: 6
Mountain West: 4
Confernence USA: 2
FBS Independents: 2
IVY League: 1 (They are not in the FBS, but we put them in their own category.)
MAC: 1
Sun Belt: 0

We have three take aways from this:

1. The SEC, Pac-12, Big Ten, and ACC are football player factories and churn out players for the NFL.
2. If you don’t play for an FBS school you still have a decent chance of playing in the NFL. Thirteen players in the Super Bowl came from non-FBS Schools, 14 players if you include the IVY League.
3. The Big 12 continues to be the weaker conference of the Big Five. They only had six players in the Super Bowl. This is a continuation of the Big 12 growing weaker as it loses schools and fields less competitive teams.
