It has been almost eight years since the Purdue Boilermakers beat the Michigan Wolverines. On November 7, 2009 Purdue beat Michigan by a score of 38 to 36. Danny Hope was Purdue’s coach and was in his first year, while Michigan’s coach Rich Rodriguez was in his second year.

Michigan has been dominating in this series winning 44 of games vs. Purdue and losing only 14. Purdue’s heyday vs. the Wolverines was five straight wins in the sixties, other than that it has been very one-sided.

Both Purdue and Michigan have struggled since Purdue’s last win in 2009, but both teams have been invigorated with new coaches. Jim Harbaugh (U of M) in his third year and Jeff Brohm as the first-year coach of the Boilermakers. Brohm’s Boilermakers are playing some very good and exciting football and should give Michigan a go of it. In fact, Faniacs is predicting a Purdue upset.
