Quarterback DeShone Kizer played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish from 2015 to 2016. He was redshirted in 2014. He still had eligibility left, but entered the 2017 NFL Draft.
DeShone Kizer had 2,925 passing yards last year. He finished 41st in passing yards last year; he also had 26 TDs and nine Interceptions last year. Over DeShone’s college career he had 422 completions for a completion rate of 60.7%, 5,805 passing yards, 47 TDs, and 19 interceptions.
DeShone is 6’ 5” and 220 pounds. He was drafted by the Browns in the second round as the 52nd overall pick. He will compete for a starting job against Brock Osweiler (Arizona State), Cody Kessler (USC), and Kevin Hogan (Stanford). DeShone has some skills, but needs to refine them. Cleveland is a hard place to learn the quarterback position.
