Willie Taggart played for the WKU Hilltoppers from 1995 to 1998. He was a quarterback.
Willie was a four-year starter and has had his jersey retired. An All-American as a senior, he was also the 1998 I-AA Independents’ Offensive Player of the Year.
He started coaching as soon as he graduated. He was head coach for WKU and South Florida. His record has a head coach is 40-45. On December 7, 2016, it was announced that Taggart was hired as the head coach of Oregon Ducks. Let’s see how he does!
