Chic Harley was born on September 15, 1894. He played for the Ohio State Buckeyes in 1916, 1917, and 1919. (He served his country in WWI in 1918.) He played halfback on offense and safety on defense and was also the team's punter and place kicker. He was a member of the inaugural class of the College Football Hall of Fame.
