Oklahoma has had three Number One NFL draft picks, while Oklahoma State has had one.

The Sooners' last Number One NFL draft pick was in 2010 when QB Sam Bradford was picked by the St. Louis Rams. The other two Number Ones from the Sooners were running back Billy Sims in 1980 by the Detroit Lions and defensive end Lee Roy Selmon by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1976.

Oklahoma State’s Number One pick was half-back Bob Fenimore in 1947 by the Chicago Bears.

As far as successful Number One NFL draft picks, Oklahoma most certainly wins here since, additionally, both Billy Sims and Lee Roy Selmon are NFL Hall of Famers. The book is still out on Sam Bradford.

As for Bob Fenimore, he played only one year and was a Number One draft pick bust.
