Factoid 416 - Who has the 4th best all time Wonderlic score for an NFL Prospect?
Date: 3/5/15
Benjamin Watson, TE for Georgia, scored a 48 on the Wonderlic, which earned him the honor of the 4th best score on this test in NFL history. Watson played for Duke in 1999 and then transferred to Georgia, where he played from 2001 to 2003. In his college career he scored seven touchdowns and 945 receiving yards.

“The Wonderlic is a 50-question test administered to all combine participants that measures cognitive ability. The time limit is 12 minutes. A score of 20 is indicative of ‘average’ intelligence and roughly equivalent to an IQ of 100. Apr 12, 2014.” - ESPN

Benjamin entered the 2004 NFL draft. He was drafted by the New England Patriots 32nd overall in the 2004 NFL draft. Injuries plagued his time with the New England Patriots, but he has gone on to a successful NFL career with the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints. He has 32 touchdowns and 360 receptions in his NFL career. In Watson’s case you can say the Wonderlic predicted a successful NFL career.
